Everything you wanted to ask about MeekDeals
Straight answers about trust scores, verification, lab reports, reviews, and how the directory stays independent.
Trust scores
A trust score is a 0–100 rating that reflects how transparent, verified, and consistent a vendor is. It's calculated from public signals — transparency, third-party verification, community feedback, consistency, and responsiveness — and updates as new lab reports and reviews come in.
We weigh five signals: Transparency (25%), Third-party verification (25%), Community feedback (20%), Consistency over time (15%), and Vendor responsiveness (15%). The full methodology is documented and versioned on our Trust page.
No. Trust scores are independent and unpaid. Featured placements are clearly labeled and never affect the underlying score.
Scores update automatically as new lab reports, verified reviews, and vendor responses are added. There's no fixed schedule — the score reflects the current state of public evidence.
Vendor verification
A Verified badge means we've confirmed the vendor's business identity, contact channels, and ownership of their listed domain or storefront. It does not imply endorsement of any product.
Vendors claim their profile from the listing page and submit proof of ownership — domain control, business email, or an official social handle. Our team reviews each claim manually.
Most claims are reviewed within 2–5 business days. We'll email you at the contact address you provided once a decision is made.
Lab reports
We accept Certificates of Analysis (COAs) from accredited third-party labs covering identity, purity, and contaminant testing. Reports should be tied to a specific batch — not a generic product line.
Quality varies between batches. A single legacy COA doesn't prove ongoing consistency. Vendors who publish per-batch reports score higher on both verification and consistency signals.
Verified vendors upload their own COAs through the vendor portal. Community members can flag missing or suspicious reports, which our moderation team reviews.
Reviews
Any signed-in MeekDeals account can leave a review. Reviews from verified buyers are weighted more heavily, and detailed long-term reports count for more than one-line ratings.
We combine account signals, content analysis, posting patterns, and community flagging. Suspicious reviews are removed and repeat offenders lose posting privileges. Vendors cannot delete reviews about themselves.
Yes — verified vendors can publicly reply to any review on their profile. Responsiveness is a public signal that contributes to the trust score.
Transparency
Transparency means a vendor publicly discloses where products are made, how they're sourced, who runs the company, and what's in each batch. Hidden formulas, proprietary blends, and undisclosed sourcing all lower the transparency score.
Yes. Our scoring methodology, featured-vendor criteria, and moderation rules are all published. We don't accept payments to influence trust scores or hide negative reviews.
Featured vendors
Featured vendors receive premium placement on the directory and homepage. Featured slots are clearly labeled and are independent from trust scores — paying for placement does not raise a vendor's score.
Verified vendors with a trust score above our threshold can apply on the Get Featured page. We review every application and reserve the right to decline placements that don't meet our standards.
Not automatically. The trust score is the better signal. Featured placement shows that a vendor invested in visibility — always check the trust score, lab reports, and reviews before purchasing.
Submitting vendors
Use the Submit Vendor page to send us the vendor's name, website, category, and any context you have. You don't need to be affiliated with the vendor — community submissions are encouraged.
Our moderation team checks the submission for legitimacy, reachability, and category fit. Approved vendors are added to the directory with a starting score based on publicly available signals.
Common reasons include inactive websites, duplicate listings, missing contact channels, or vendors that fall outside the wellness and biohacking scope. You'll receive an email explaining the decision.
